ITALY, Calabria, Tarentum (Taras), (272-235 B.C.), silver stater or nomos, (6.91 g), obv. diademed head of nymph left rev. youth on horseback right, crowning horse with wreath, dolphin and TA below (Vl.1000, SNG ANS 1280, HN Italy 1098). Some surface pitting on obverse, attractive golden patina on reverse, nearly very fine and scarce.
