MACEDON, Kingdom of Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.10 g), Amphipolis mint, struck under Kassander, Philip IV, or Alexander (son of Kassander) issued c. 310-294 B.C., obv. head of Zeus laureate to right, rev. naked youth on horseback to right, holding a palm and rein, **L* above torch below, bee below horse's raised leg, above **FILIP POU*, (cf.S.6683, Le Rider Pl.47, 26, SNG ANS 799). Toned very fine and rare.
