THRACE, Kingdom of, Lysimachos, (323-281 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.68 g), uncertain mint Amphipolis(?), issued 288/7-281 B.C., obv. head of Alexander to right, with diadem and horn of Ammon, within dotted circle, rev. Athena Nikephoros enthroned to left, supporting Nike, spear behind, to left an uncertain head, to right **BASILEWS* downwards, to left **[LU]SIMAXOU* downwards, (cf.S.6814, Thompson -, Muller 462). Dark toning, surface marks and inclusions, otherwise good fine/nearly very fine and scarce.
