SYRIA, kingdom of, Demetrios I Soter, (162-150 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.51 g), Antioch mint, issued period 162-155/4 B.C., obv. diademed head of Demetrios to right within laurel wreath border, rev. Tyche seated to left with leg of throne a winged monster, holds sceptre and cornucopiae, to right **BASILEWS, to left **DH MHTRIOU SWTHROS*, ANT monogram to left, (S.7014, SC 1638, HGC 9 795f). Attractively toned, very fine and scarce.
