MESOPOTAMIA, Edessa, Gordian III with Abgar X Phraates, (238-244 A.D.), AE 25, (10.86 g), obv. radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Gordian right, around **AVTOK M ANT GO[RDIANOC CEB]*, rev. bust of Abgar X right, wearing tiara, star in left field, around **AB[GAROC B]ACILEVC*, (BMC 144, Babelon 98). Slightly off centre on obverse, deeply toned, nearly very fine/very fine and scarce.
