MARK ANTONY, (32-31 B.C.), silver denarius, mint moving with Mark Antony, (3.70 g), obv. praetorian galley to right with rowers etc., around ANT AVG III VIR. R.P.C., rev. legionary eagle between two standards, LEG XXIII below, (S.1479, Cr.544/36, Syd.1243, C. Mark Antony 57). Attractively toned, slightly off centre on reverse, otherwise very fine or better and a very rare legion.

The highest numbered legion in Antony's forces and a very rare issue.
