GALBA, (A.D. 68-69), AE sestertius (22.91 g), Rome mint, 4th officina, 1st emission, circa June-August A.D. 68, obv. laureate head to right, around IMP SER GALBA AVG TR P, rev. Roma seated left on cuirass, holding sceptre and leaning on shield set at side, (cf.S.2119, RIC I 238, NN&M 133, ACG 219 [A36/P43], BMC 92). Very fine, attractive dark brown and tan patina with a bold portrait.
