ANTONINUS PIUS, (A.D. 138-161), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued 142, (3.07 g), obv. ANTONINVS AVG PI VS P P TR P COS III, bare head to right, rev. GENIVS POP ROMANI, genius of the Roman people, standing facing, holding sceptre and cornucopiae, (S.4085, RIC 70, RSC 405, BMC 207). Lightly toned, slight surface marks, otherwise nearly very fine and scarce.
