CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver antoninianus, issued 217, Rome mint, (5.28 g), obv. radiate draped bust to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG GERM, rev. Jupiter half left holding thunderbolt and sceptre, around P M TR P XX COS IIII P P, (S.6778, RIC 285d, RSC 374). Extremely fine and very scarce.
