ANCIENT GREEK COINS, AE including, Thessaly, Larissa, (c.356-337 B.C.), AE 20 tetrachalkon, (9.92 g), obv. head of the nymph Larissa facing left, obv. horse prancing right, (BCD 330, Rogers 279); Gyrton, trichalkon, (3rd century BC), (8.64 g), obv. laureate head of Zeus left, rev. horse prancing left,(cf. Rogers 236, SNG Cop 61, BCD Thessaly II 83.11 var); Thessalian League. (1st century BC), trichalkon, (5.64 g), Philokrates, Italos, and Petraios, magistrates, obv. laureate head of Apollo right, rev. Athena Itonia advancing right with spear and shield, (BCD 901.9, Rogers 37a). Poor - nearly very fine, scarce. (3)
