COMMERCIAL BANK OF SYDNEY, uniface five pounds, Sydney, 1 day of Aug 1883 (date partially handwritten), No.265310, hand signed by Manager and countersigned, imprint Engraved by W.& A.K.Johnston, Edinr for Cowan & Coy Sydney, '65/65' handwritten in pencil on back of note (MVR type 3 similar note illustrated p.146 fig.153). Flattened of folds and creases, 3mm tear left border, otherwise fine.
