Walter John Douglas Thomas, age 19, born at Claremont, WA; Enl.12Oct1936 at Adelaide, Sth Aust in 10 Infy Bn (Adelaide Rifles), CMF (Ser.No. 217914); Disch.15Mar1940 at Adelaide from CMF and Enl.18Mar1940 at Keswick, Sth Aust and allotted wartime service number S213144 with rank of Driver; Disch.20May1940 as Driver ex S & T HQ 4 MD and Enl.21May1940 in Permanent Military Force and allotted number SP15135; service with AASC and then transferred to 2nd AIF 10Jul1942 at Plympton, Sth Aust (SX22503); with 4 AAOD, New Guinea 29Dec1944 to 20Jan1946; Disch.06Feb1946 as Sgt ex 4 AAOD.
