THESSALY, Larissa (under Macedonian domination), (350-325 B.C.), silver drachm, (6.035 grams), obv. bull rushing to right, traces of **LARISAIWWN* above, dotted border, rev. Thessalian horseman wearing chlamys and kausia on horse galloping to right, (S.2125 [£400], BMC 54, SNG Cop. 118, Hermann Pl.IV, 17-18). Off centred on obverse, otherwise very fine or better and rare.

Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 65 (lot 1766). A rare type coming from only two sets of dies.
