THRACE, Kingdom of, Lysimachos, (305-281 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.89 g), Kios mint, issued early-mid 3rd century B.C., obv. head of Alexander to right, with diadem and horn of Ammon, rev. Athena enthroned to left, supporting Nike, spear behind, club to far left, monogram to inner left, bow in case and monogram in exergue, to right **BASILEWS*, to left **LUSIMAXOU*, (cf.S.6814, Muller 413, Thompson -, cf.SNG Berry 450-1). Good very fine with slight hoard patination, very rare.
