IONIA, Ephesus, (c.128-127 B.C.), silver cistophoric tetradrachm, (12.636 grams), year Z = 7 = 128-7 B.C., obv. cista mystica containing serpent, all within ivy wreath, rev. bow in case between two coiled serpents, to left Z over monogram **EFE, to right torch, Artemis Ephesia above, (cf.S.4745, Kleiner 11 [ANS MN 18, Series 10, [p.24], BMC 158). Very fine and rare.
