REPUBLIC, Anonymous (Aes Grave) Series, (c.225-217 B.C.), Rome mint, AE quadrans, (57.71 g), obv. head of Hercules left wearing lion's skin, three pellets behind, rev. prow of galley to right with three pellets below, (S.582, Cr.35/4, Syd.75, Thurlow & Vecchi 54). Green patina with earthen encrustation, nearly very fine and rare.
