CHINA, Chou Dynasty, Spring-Autumn Period, 770-476 B.C., a Halberd pointed type, a relative to the spades and knife coins, found in only one location State of Yue, (Shaoxing city in Zhejiang Province), (4.70 g), length 100mms, (Hartill -, ref. David Jen p.5, Sch.-, TFP -). Some minor encrustation, otherwise good very fine and very rare.

Ex Patrick J. O'Rourke Collection and previously from The Singapore Coin Convention, March 2002 ($180US).

Type first discovered in 1986 and only found in the location noted above.
