ARDLETHAN P & A ASSOCN, handcrafted prize fob in gold (9ct, 6.1g, 28x30mm shield shaped) by Kerr, obverse with engraved wheat sheaf on centre overlay and inscribed 'T.Bott/Pres by R.J.Mulholland' around, reverse inscribed 'Ardlethan/P & A. Assocn/Best bag of/Wheaten Chaff/1911'. Good very fine.

Ardlethan, known as the 'home of the kelpie' is a small town in the Coolamon Shire in NSW. It enjoyed a brief boom when gold was discovered in the 19th century, then tin was mined there from 1912 to the 1960s.
