HADRIAN, (A.D. 117-138), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 122, (3.288 grams), obv. laureate head of Hadrian to right, drapery on right shoulder, around IMP CAESAR TRAIAN HADRIANVS AVG, rev. around P M TR P COS III, galley to right with rowers and mast, (cf.S.3529, RIC 112, RSC 1173a). Toned, very fine and rare.

Ex Patrick Cooper Collection, with his ticket and previously from I.Vecchi (London) in January 1984.
