ELAGABALUS, (A.D. 218-222), silver antoninianus, Rome mint, issued A.D. 219, (5.246 grams), obv. radiate bust of Elagabalus draped to right, around IMP CAES ANTONINVS AVG, rev. around SALVS ANTONINI AVG, Salus standing partly to right, holding snake across body and feeding it cake, (S.2088, RIC 138, RSC 254). Struck on a large flan, nearly extremely fine, scarce.
