FRANCE, Aux Dames De La Croix Rouge (To Women of the Red Cross), medallic tribute plaque in bronze (52x69mm), by Henri Allouard for Paris Mint, obverse, nurse assisting wounded soldier, reverse, Victory holding an olive branch and palm branch hovering above a slain nurse, in background a burning church and buildings, panel on obverse is inscribed, 'Hommage A Miss L.Yorke/1914-1918'. In fitted case of issue, some rubbing on high spots, otherwise extremely fine.
