SCOTLAND, The British Linen Company, uniface black and white printer's proof on card, one pound, undated (1872-1904), imprint of Perkins, Bacon & Co., London, Patent Hardened Steel Plate, three punch hole cancellation at Manager's signature reserve, printer's instructions '(waiting for date) - December 1879' in pencil bottom margin (P.S170p). Remnants of glue mounting marks on back corners, otherwise nearly uncirculated.
In a holder by PMG as 66 Gem Uncirculated.
