L. MARCIUS PHILIPPUS, (c.56 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.73 g), obv. Ancus Marcius head to right, ANCV[S] and lituus below and to left, dotted border, rev. PHILIPPVS behind equestrian statue to right on an arcade of five arches, within A Q V A MAR, flower below horse, (S.382, Cr.425/1, Syd.919a, RSC Marcia 29). Slightly off centred, otherwise very fine and scarce.
