DIOCLETIAN, (A.D. 284-305), billon antoninianus, Rome mint, issued 285-293, (3.64 g), obv. IMP DIOCLETIANVS AVG, radiate draped and cuirassed bust to right of Diocletian, rev. around IOVI CONSERVAT AVGG, XXIB in exergue, Jupiter standing to left, presenting Victory to emperor standing to right, (cf.S.12637, RIC 162). Attractively toned, extremely fine and scarce in this condition.
