ANCIENT BRITISH, East Wiltshire Region, Uninscribed coins, Unknown rulers, Six Spoked Pellet Ring type, (c.30-1 B.C.), silver unit, (0.98 g), obv. moon-shaped stylised head to right, hair composed of short lines with pellet at each end, ring and other ornaments in front, rev. short-bodied horse to left, with short haired mane and double stranded tail, six-spoked pellet ring and two pellets above, ringed pellet and line under horse's neck, ring and two crescents below, (S.378, ABC 2125, Van A 1171, WE 8, BMC 3019-20, M 384a). Toned, superb head with pronounced pellets, good very fine - nearly extremely fine and very rare.
