MOESIA INFERIOR, Istros, (400-350 B.C.), silver stater, (5.18 g), obv. two young male heads facing, side by side, right inverted, left upright, rev. sea-eagle standing to left on dolphin to left, E below, which it attacks with its beak, below dolphin **LA*, (cf.S.1669, SNG Cop.19,7, Pick 433) (illustrated); Ionia, Miletus, (c.530-510 B.C.), silver twelth stater or obol, (0.94 g), obv. forepart of lion and legs to right, lions head turned to left, rev. star ornament within incuse square, (S.3532, BMC 14); Macedonian Kingdom, Philip II, AE 17, (Single unit), 359-336 B.C., uncertain mint in Macedon issue to 323/2-315 B.C., (5.31 g), obv. head of Apollo with hair short bound with plain tainia to right, dotted border, rev. naked youth on horse prancing to right on short exergue line, *FILIPPOU* above, AN monogram below horse, (S.6696 var., SNG ANS 896-7 [Pl.31], Drama Hoard [ANSMN 11] No.48, SNG Greece II [Alpha Bank] 395-7 [Pl.XVII]) (illustrated); Parthia, Kingdom of, Vologases I, (c.A.D. 51-78), AE chalkoi, (0.87 g), Ecbatana mint, obv. short and narrow bearded bust to left, rev. horse head to right, (S.5804, Sellwood 70.16, BMC 147-150 [Pl.XXVIII, 5], Shore 597).
