L. ROSCIUS FABATUS, (64 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome Mint, (3.93 g), obv. head of Juno Sospita to right, wearing goat's skin tied under the chin, below [L.] ROSCI, on left amphora, rev. female figure standing to right, and feeding from her dress a serpent, erect before her, behind a vase stand, in exergue FABAT[I], Serrated edge, (S.363, C.412/1, Syd 915, BMC 3395 [die combination No.2], RSC Roscia 3). Good very fine and very scarce.

Ex Dr V.J.A. Flynn Collection and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 107 (lot 3570) and also coming from an old Hungarian collection. Formely from C. Pitchfork Collection and Dolphin Coins, November 16, 1986.
