OCTAVIAN, (37 B.C.), silver denarius, mint moving with Octavian, (3.81 g), obv. Octavian head to right bearded, around [IMP C]AESAR DIVI F III VIR ITER [R P C], rev. simpulum, sprinkler, jug and lituus, border of dots, around COS ITER ET TER DESIG, (S.1544, Cr.538/3, C.91, Syd.1334, BMC Gaul 116). Slightly off-centre on obverse, porous surface, rough edge, otherwise good very fine or better, rare.
