NERO, (A.D. 54-68), AE sestertius issued c.66, Rome mint, (25.80 g), obv. laureate head to right of Nero, around IMP NERO CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG GER P M TR P P P, rev. Roma seated left on cuirass, holding Victory and parazonium, ROMA in exergue, S C across field, (S.1961, RIC 335, WCN 155, BMC -). Attractive even brown patina, very fine and rare in this condition.
