CLODIUS ALBINUS, (A.D. 195-197), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued 193-5, (2.79 g), obv. bare head of Clodius Albinus to right, around D CL SEPT AL BIN CAES, rev. around ROMAE [AE TER]NAE, Roma seated left, holding palladium and spear, (S.6146, RIC 11b, RSC 61a). Large head type, slightly off centred on reverse, otherwise extremely fine and rare.

Ex Dr. V.J.A. Flynn Collection and coming from Noble Numismatics Sale 109 (lot 3824) the D.J.Foster Collection and previously from Spink Noble Sale 41 (lot 2262).
