SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius, Laodicea mint, issued A.D. 198-200 (3.33 g), obv. laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, around L SEPT SEV AVG IMP XI PART MAX, rev. around COS I[I]I P P, Victory advancing to left, holding wreath and palm, (S.6270, RIC 504, RSC 100); another silver denarius, Emesa mint, issued A.D. 194, (2.75 g), obv. laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, around IMP CAE L SEP SEV PERT AVG COS II, rev. around INVICTO IMP, trophy with captured arms below, (S.6288, RIC 389, RSC 232). Both toned, very fine. (2)
