SEVERUS ALEXANDER, (A.D. 222-235), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 231-235, (19.18 g), obv. laureate bust draped and cuirassed of Severus Alexander to right, around IMP ALEXANDER PIVS AVG, rev. Mars advancing to right, holding spear and shield, around MARS VLTOR, S C in field, (S.7979, RIC 635c, C.163). Dark brown patina, very fine.
