PUPIENUS, (238 A.D.), silver denarius, Rome Mint, (2.52 g), obv. Laureate bust of Pupienus to right draped and cuirassed seen slightly from behind, IMP C M CLOD PVPIENVS, around, rev. CONCORDIA AVGG around, Concordia seated to left on throne, holding patera and double cornucopiae, (S.8523, RIC 1, BMC 42, C.6). Has been harshly cleaned, fine and rare.

Ex Dr V.J.A. Flynn Collection and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 107 (lot 3854) and also coming from an old Hungarian collection.
