ITALY, Lucania, Metapontum, (c.330-290 B.C.), silver nomos (7.90 g), obv. wreathed head of Demeter right, wearing triple-pendant earring and necklace, rev. barley ear with leaf to right, META to left, **L*Y below (S.416, Johnston Class C, 8). Toned, struck with a rusty obverse die, otherwise good very fine and scarce.
