ITALY, Calabria, Taras, (281-272 B.C.), silver stater, (6.59 g), obv. naked boy rider crowning stationary horse to right, Nike flying to right crowning rider, under Nike **SI*, below horse **QE, rev. Taras astride a dolphin to left, holding a kantharos and trident, beneath dolphin **TAPAS below, **LU* in upper right field, (cf.S.370, Vl.759 [this coin], cf.SNG ANS 1116. Grey tone, extremely fine and very scarce.
