VICTORY MEDAL 1914-19. 2464 Pte. R.R.Draper 1 L.H.R. A.I.F. Impressed. Swing mounted, toned, otherwise very fine.
Rupert Randolph Draper, time keeper and chainman, age 21, born at Parkes, NSW; Enl.11Jan1916 at Casula, NSW; Emb.26Apr1916; court martialled 22Oct1917 charged while on active service did break into a place in search of plunder, found guilty and sentenced to 6 months hard labour, charge quashed by General Allenby; court martialled 27May1918 charged that he reported pay book lost and then used same pay book to obtain funds illegally, found guilty and sentenced to one year's imprisonment with hard labour; RTA 29Apr1919 arrived 11Jun1919; Disch.11Jul1919 as Medically Unfit; on several occasions, post war, he was an inmate in mental institutions.
