TRIO: 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19. 2675 Pte T.J.C.Gannon 20/Bn. A.I.F. on first medal, Lieut T.J.C.Gannon. A.I.F. on last two medals. All medals impressed. Display mounted, toned, otherwise nearly extremely fine.
Thomas James Carnett Gannon, bank accountant, age 21, born at Auburn, Sydney, NSW; Enl.17Jul1915 at Liverpool, NSW with 3 years in Senior Cadets and currently serving as Sergeant with 40 Bn of the CMF; Emb.02Nov1915 with 6th Reinfts to 20 Bn; to 56 Bn at Tel-el-kebir 16Feb1916; to Sgt 27Jun1916; to 2/Lt 09Aug1916 and TOS 59 Bn; to Lieut 14Feb1917; to Medical Board (in the field) with neurasthenia 13May1918 and then returned to duty; WIA 29Aug1918 GSW face and left leg, France; RTA 10Jun1919; Disch.28Sep1919; Died 07Sep1969 at Sydney, NSW.
