LLB, DSc (Econ) (honoris causa) QC born 12Apr1926 at Sydney and educated at Dubbo and Sydney High Schools and the Sydney University; Enl.02Nov1944 in RANR as Ord Seaman (S/9794); HMAS Doomba 21Nov1944, Cerberus 28Apr1945, Doomba 02Jun1945; Midshipman (on probation) 20Aug1945; A/Sub Lieut 12Oct1945, Sub Lieut 12Apr1946; passed Render Mines Safe Course 11Dec1946; to General Purpose Vessel 957 04Jan1947; to HMAS Swan 27Jan1947; Appt terminated 22Jul1947; later Judge of the Supreme Court of NSW, 1979-81; President of the Industrial Commission of NSW, 1981-92; Chief Judge, Industrial Court of NSW, 1992; Died 2010.
