ANCIENT BRITISH, North Thames Region, Trinovantes, Inscribed coins, Dubnovellaunos Branch type, (c.5 B.C.-10 A.D.), gold stater, (5.38 g), obv. banded flan with wreath motif, two outline crescents and two rings in centre, forming two hidden faces, rev. [DVBNOVALLAVNOS] around, full-bodied horse prancing left, with beaded mane and long high-arched tail, ringed pellet above, wavy branch below, (S.207, ABC 2392, Van A 1650/1655 var, NT 7, BMC 2425-40, M 275/275a var). Coppery toned gold, very fine and very rare.
