FRENCH FLEET DEFEATED OFF CAPE FINISTERRE, 1747, in bronze (43mm), by T. Pingo, obverse, bust of Admiral Anson facing left, crowned by Victory, reverse, Victory standing on sea monster, legend CIRCVMNAVIGATION, and names of the other leaders of the expedition which circumnavigated the globe in 1740-1744, (Eimer 616, MI 634/325). Very fine.
