CELTIC, Danube Region, Imitation of Thasos, (c.1st century B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.50 g), obv. head of young Dionysos to right, wearing ivy wreath, rev. Herakles standing facing, head left, holding club and lion's skin, monogram before and mixed letters around, (S.212, Prokopov 682, OTA Class II 4, cf.Lanz 964). Toned, uneven flan, otherwise very fine.
