CILICIA, Satrap of Cilicia,Mazaios, (361-334 B.C.), silver stater, (10.42 g), Tarsos mint, obv. Baal of Tarsos enthroned left, head facing, holding eagle, bunch of grapes and sceptre, before and behind Aramaic legend, rev. attacking lion to left on back of bull kneeling to left, Aramaic script "Mazdai" above, (S.5650, SNG France 334, SNG Delepierre 2880). Attractively toned, obverse weakly struck, otherwise nearly extremely fine and scarce.
