SYRIA, Kingdom of, Demetrios I, (162-155 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.70 g), Antioch mint, issued period 162-150 B.C., obv. diademed head of Demetrios to right within laurel wreath border, rev. Tyche seated to left with leg of throne a winged monster, holds sceptre and cornucopiae, to right **[B]ASILEWS*, to left **DHMHTRIOU* **SWTHROS*, **BXR* in exergue, (S.7014, SNG Spaer 1288 var, SMA Newell 131, Houghton 168). Toned, slight porosity, very fine or better.
