BACTRIA, Kingdom of, Hermaeus, (c.40-1 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (7,78 g), obv. Hermaeus diademed bust to right, around **BASILEWS SOTHROS ERMAIOU*, rev. Zeus seated to left holding sceptre, monogram in right field, (S.7736, M.418, M.2033); Indo-Scythian, Azes II, (c.35 B.C.- A.D.5), silver tetradrachm, (7,88 g), Taxila Sirsukh mint, obv. king holding whip seated on horse walking right, Greek legend around, rev. Pallas standing to right, with shield, and spear, (MAC 2318, M.829); another similar but issued by Abdagases (brother of Gondophares), issued in Chach, (9.94 g), 55-65 A.D., (M.1118 [p.752, Vol.8], 1001 Bop. & Rahman) (illustrated), together with a drachm of Antialcidas (145-135 B.C.), (MAC 1843) and another drachm of Azes I, (M.753, MAC 2235). Very good - nearly very fine, mostly toned, the Abdagases is rare. (5)
