FRANCE, Launch of the El Djezair liner at the Mediterranean shipyards at La Seyne, 1951, in silvered bronze (54.5mm), by Georges Guiraud, obverse, the El Djezair sailing left with rain falling from clouds behind, reverse, ancient open boat being launched by six naked men with overseer behind holding a heavy hammer on an anvil and rain falling from clouds behind and a flash of lightning hitting the sea, in case; Legion of Honour Promotion in Grade commemorative, undated, in bronze (95mm), by A de Jaeger, obverse, bust of facing Marianne holding Legion of Honour medal with elaborate border around, reverse, text of the commemorative occasion with a central square plaque for inscribing a name and around the plaque are 8 versions of the Legion of Honour, with a display stand. Very fine; uncirculated. (2)
