USA, WORLD'S COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION, Chicago, 1892-1893, in bronze (76mm) by C.E.Barber of U.S.Mint, obverse, full length figure of Columbus arriving on the shore of America, reverse, Fame and Science either side of globe above inscription commemorating the four hundredth anniversary of Columbus landing, tablet below reads 'Sakubei Nobashi'. Nearly uncirculated.

Exhibitor 380, Sakubei Nobashi of Kyoto, Japan exhibited crapes (aka crepes) in Class 630 Silk and Silk Fabrics in the Manufactures and Liberal Arts Building at the exposition dedicated in 1892 but opened to the public in May 1893 in the Exposition Fairgrounds at Jackson Park in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
