VAN DIEMEN'S LAND, Derwent Bank, cheque, Campbell Town (handwritten over Hobart), [19th July] 183[7], Cashier of the Derwent Bank, pay 'Mr G G Emmett' or Order the Sum of 'twenty three pounds 13/0' and place the same to account of 'James Hamilton'. With faint handwritten notes on back of note, folds and creases, a number of small cracks and edge tears, water stain on back and front of note, very good.
