MEMORIAL PLAQUE WWI, named to Edward Oscar Heawood. Edge nicks, otherwise extremely fine.

Edward Oscar Heawood, labourer, age 24, born at Hamilton, Tas; Enl.16Sep1914 at Pontville, Tas; Emb.22Dec1914; Emb.12Apr1915 for Gallipoli; WIA 06May1915 GSW neck, at Gallipoli; WIA 08Aug1916, then altered to MIA and after a Court of Enquiry on 01May1917 at Ribemont, France declared KIA with 15Bn; in about Jun1936 body discovered with ID disc in an unmarked grave north-west of Pozieres and was exhumed and moved to London Cemetery - Extension, Longueval, Somme, France.
