A.I.F. on first medal, 138 T/Sjt A.E.Silverlock. 5/L.H Rgt.A.I.F. on second with correction to 'T' in rank, 138 T-Sjt A.E.Silverlock. 5 L.H.R. A.I.F. on last medal. All medals impressed. Evidence of glue on back of ribbons and second ribbon damaged, otherwise very fine.

Together with King's Silver War badge.

Special Mention in Div Order No.156 for Acts of Conspicuous Gallantry or Valuable Service during May 19th 1915 to June 30th 1915 - report from Maj Gen J.G.Legge stated, 'Behaved Gallantly throughout the day tending wounded and bearing them back from the firing line at Anzac Cove.'

Extract from Army Corps Routine Orders for 2nd July 1915 (Military Orders No.570 of 1915) 'The Army Corps Commander has much pleasure in publishing the names in the attached supplement of Officers, N.C.O.'s and men, which have been brought to his notice for good service performed during the operations on our Right Flank on 28th June, 1915. He wishes to thank them for the good services they rendered and to congratulate all ranks on the successful carrying out of the task allotted to them by the G.O.C.-in-Chief, which prevented the enemy reinforcing the Krithia position from troops opposite our front.' and named is No.138 Pte. A.E.Silverlock, (M.O. Orderly) 5th Light Horse Regiment.

Albert Edward Silverlock, grocer, age 25, born at Leicester, England; Enl.19Sep1914 at Lismore, NSW; Emb.20Dec1914; hospitalised with heat stroke 17-20Feb1915 at Maadi, Egypt; to Gallipoli 16May1915 with 5LHR; to L/Cpl 10Sep1915 at Gallipoli; admitted to Mil Hosp at Malta 16Sep1915 with Influenza and then to hospital in England where he received further treatment and was also operated on for varicocele; confirmed to be T/Cpl 11Nov1916 at AIF HQ; to 16 F Amb 20Sep1917 and then AMC Training Depot; L/Cpl 22Sep1917; married 15Jun1918 at Leicester Parish Church of England to Edith Maud Webster, the daughter of a coach painter; revert to Pte 19Sep1918; attached to AFC Hospital 28Oct1918; to Cpl and then T/Sgt 07Mar1919; RTA 06Sep1919; Disch.25Jan1920.

On 10 December 1919 a welcome home social evening was held at the Rosebank Hall, Lismore for returned soldiers, A.Silverlock, J.Greenaway and A.Ripps.
