TRIO. Ashanti Star 1896; Queen’s South Africa Medal 1899 - four bars Belmont; Modder River, Transvaal, Wittebergen, South Africa 1901; Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (EVIIR). 7760 Staff Sergeant W. Furness RAMC. Court mounted for display. First award unnamed, others impressed. Some surface pitting on second and surface scratches on last, otherwise very fine.

Mentioned in Despatches vide LG 10 September 1901. Together with Attestation Papers , Military History Sheet (which confirms Mention in Despatches and all awards); and Discharge Form. Died as a Royal Hospital Chelsea in-pensioner 1950.
